HQCheer is a community built around cheerleading excellence, safety, and mutual respect. These Community Guidelines help ensure a positive, supportive environment for athletes, coaches, parents, and gym owners. All users must follow these guidelines in addition to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Everything on HQCheer is guided by four core values: Safety First — athlete wellbeing is always the top priority. Respect — treat every member of the community with dignity. Growth — support continuous improvement at every level. Integrity — be honest, authentic, and accountable.
HQCheer thrives when members lift each other up. You should encourage fellow athletes and celebrate their progress, provide constructive feedback that helps others improve, respect differences in skill level, experience, and background, and use inclusive language that welcomes everyone. Do not post negative or demeaning comments about anyone's abilities, engage in personal attacks, name-calling, or bullying, discriminate based on race, gender, age, body type, or any other characteristic, or publicly criticize other gyms, coaches, or programs.
Cheerleading involves physical skills that require proper training and safety measures. Never encourage athletes to attempt skills they haven't been cleared for by a qualified coach. Always emphasize proper progressions — refer to our Skill Progression Chart. Follow all Spotting Guidelines and Equipment Requirements. Report any unsafe practices or concerning content immediately. Do not share videos of dangerous stunts performed without proper safety measures.
Many HQCheer members are minors. All community members share the responsibility to protect them. Never request personal contact information from minors. Keep all interactions within the platform's communication tools. Report any suspicious or inappropriate behavior immediately. Parents and guardians are encouraged to be actively involved. All interactions with minors must be professional and age-appropriate. See our Children's Privacy (COPPA) policy for additional protections.
When posting or sharing content on HQCheer, ensure it is relevant to cheerleading, coaching, or athletic development. Content should be accurate and based on sound coaching principles, clearly demonstrate proper technique and safety, not promote products or services without platform approval, and respect copyright and intellectual property. Follow our Video Submission Guide for video-specific standards.
Coaches on HQCheer are held to a high standard. Coaches must provide feedback that is constructive, specific, and actionable. Coaches should acknowledge when a question is outside their expertise. All coaching advice must prioritize athlete safety. Coaches must maintain professional boundaries with all athletes. Misrepresentation of credentials or experience is strictly prohibited. Review the Coach Account Agreement for complete coaching standards.
Respect the privacy of all community members. Do not share another user's personal information without consent, screenshots of private conversations or video reviews, medical or injury information about other athletes, or confidential gym or team information. All users are bound by our Privacy Policy.
If you see something that violates these Community Guidelines, report it immediately by contacting support@hqcheer.com or using the in-platform reporting feature. Reports are confidential — we do not reveal who made a report. All reports are reviewed within 24-48 hours (safety reports are prioritized). Enforcement actions range from warnings to permanent account removal depending on severity. Repeated violations will result in escalating consequences.
By following these guidelines, you help make HQCheer a safe, positive, and empowering community for cheerleaders everywhere. Together, we can build something truly special for the cheerleading world. Questions? Contact us at support@hqcheer.com.
